PDO Threads

A PDO Thread lift is a type of face lift that is often referred to as the “lunch hour lift”. We make a tiny entry then insert fine PDO threads into the areas we want to lift. As the threads dissolve, your body will naturally produce new bundles of collagen which surround each thread. Using PDO threads along with facial fillers typically produce the best results. The results give you a rejuvenated and refreshed look. No surgery, no pain, non-invasive lunchtime procedure. Natural results with no scaring and recovery times are minimal.
Dr. Pierone received specialized training using PDO Threads by the American Institute of Aesthetic Medicine.
*Most procedures are performed in our Vero Beach, FL offices, however, we do offer services on listed dates at the Winter Park Office.

How Does it Work?

More
It’s an easy 2 step procedure. No scalpel, no anesthesia (numbing cream recommended), no downtime = happy people!
1 Insert
the pre-loaded needle at subdermal level
2 Remove
the needle: The reabsorbable PDO thread is now in place
Our skin is very good at repairing itself, and by inserting PDO Threads we make it ‘heal’ itself by creating new collagen, naturally! The material of the thread is fully absorbed within 4-6 months and doesn’t create any scar tissue. The foreign body stimulates collagen synthesis and the skin structure created will hold for another 12 to 15 months.
Body Area(s) & Procedure(s)
What areas can be treated with a PDO Thread lift?
More info on Body Area/Treatment

Although PDO Threads can be inserted almost anywhere, one area where they are especially effective is the neck and jawline. The lower third of the face is challenging to treat effectively with botulinum toxin or injectable fillers, which are most effective in the upper and middle third of the face, respectively.
Treatment areas include face, neck, lips and/or body areas (upper arms, upper thighs or abdomen).
PDO Threads Pricing
PDO Threads range in price from $20 – $300 each. Treatment areas include face, neck, lips or one body area (upper arms, upper thighs or abdomen).

Here's what to expect:

A thread facelift is a convenient, less invasive alternative to traditional facelifts, designed for people experiencing early signs of aging, such as minor facial sagging. This innovative facelift procedure can be performed in just one or two hours, often without anesthesia.
During a thread facelift, the cosmetic surgeon inserts thin threads into the face through tiny incisions made in the targeted area. These threads attach to the skin tissue and are then pulled back to lift and smooth the face.
Treated areas will be raised slightly, eliminating sagging and giving patients a rejuvenated appearance. Because patients usually remain fully conscious during the procedure, they can approve the look of their thread lift while the surgeon works. Once the threads are knotted, they become hidden within the skin itself.
