Dr. Pierone is one of the leading facial injectors in the United States and is a nationally recognized doctor, trainer, and researcher.

Dr. Gerald Pierone Jr. has performed over 70,000 procedures with dermal fillers that include Bellafill®  Sculptra®, Radiesse®, Restlyane®, RHA, Versa and Juvéderm® family.  He has trained hundreds of injectors in advanced injection techniques and PDO threads. 

Dr. Pierone trained at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York and received his medical degree from University of Florida. He is board certified in internal medicine and infectious disease. In 1990, he relocated to Vero Beach, Florida to establish a medical practice. In 2005, he learned how to inject facial fillers to treat HIV-related lipoatrophy. Since then, he has developed an active private practice focused on facial rejuvenation with facial fillers, PDO threads, and energy-related aesthetic treatments.

Dr. Pierone is a pioneer and always staying at the forefront of rejuvenation. He is amongst an elite group being both a certified Y Lift® physician and specialized in the use of PDO threads. He also has a research interest in the management of HIV-related facial lipoatrophy.   

Greer Hanson is known for her calm, approachable demeanor and her dedication to delivering natural aesthetic results. A member of the Facial Rejuvenation FL team since 2011, she provides full facial rejuvenation using dermal fillers, neurotoxins, PDO threads, and combination therapies tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

Originally from Boston, Greer earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boston College in 1994 and her Master of Science in Nursing from Radford University in 2001. She’s a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and has called Florida home for over two decades.

Greer believes in treatment approaches that minimize pain, bruising, and downtime. She’s proficient in advanced techniques and she’s passionate about educating patients on skincare products to support long-term results and healthy, glowing skin.
Before aesthetics, Greer’s career included Pediatric Intensive Care, Internal Medicine, and Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. In 2006, she relocated to Vero Beach to help build the Duke-affiliated Cardiovascular Surgery Program at Indian River Medical Center (IRMC).

On her days off, you’ll find Greer supporting her husband Steve in his veterinary practice or getting her hands dirty in the garden, surrounded by tropical blooms and her pups, Reese and Zora.

Barbara Hicks is a native Floridian currently residing in Vero Beach with her fiancé, daughter, and two Jack Russel’s. Barbara always had a passion to help others feel their best. In 2012, she followed her passion and became a registered nurse, RN. Her previous experience includes cardiac and medical surgical telemetry. Barbara received her Master’s degree in 2019, joined Dr. Pierone’s office, and is now a full-time Nurse Practitioner devoted to aesthetics. Barbara believes aesthetic treatment is a way to restore and enhance natural beauty and confidence. Barbara enjoys travelling to the Bahamas with her family and spending time outdoors running, pedal boarding, and bike riding.

Thalia Manso Ortiz joined Facial Rejuvenation in 2021 as an assistant, quickly discovering her passion for aesthetic treatments. Motivated to expand her expertise, she obtained her Master’s degree and became a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner, now offering a variety of aesthetic services. Originally from the northeast, Thalia’s dedication for beauty began as a copywriter in New York, where she discovered the transformative power of skincare. Prior to entering the world of aesthetics, Thalia worked as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum, honing her clinical skills and developing a foundation in patient care. She now lives in Port St. Lucie with her husband, two dogs, and two holland lop rabbits. Outside of work, Thalia enjoys spending time at the beach with her family, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
