I’ve had other fillers for nasolabial lines and loved the results. Now I’m considering Bellafill, but have received conflicting information regarding injection technique. Should I seek out a doctor that only uses the micro cannula technique, or does a traditional needle give the same results? Thanks for any help you could provide!
Hello and thanks for posting.
As a general rule, cannulas are a better way to inject facial fillers. They tend to produce less pain, less bruising, and lower risk of an inadvertent injection into an artery or vein. These benefits of cannula apply to all facial filler injections, not just Bellafill.
Because of the location of the angular artery at the apex of the naso-labial fold, the use of cannulas for injection of this anatomic space would be prudent.
I hope that this information helps and best of luck to you!
