Q:

This happened due to weight loss about 15 years ago, but I couldn’t find a remedy. I am 49 yrs now. I want to fill under eyes so that my face look full and young. Now it looks tired and when I laugh/smile, there are many wrinkles around it. Sagging cheeks – when i lift from the cheekbones ,my face look completely different. How can I get these two problems corrected? I don’t want a surgery and it is better if I don’t have to do the treatment often. I am not happy with botox.

Hello and thanks for posting.

When people lose a significant amount of weight it often translates into facial volume loss, skin laxity, and increased wrinkles. The net effect is a tired, older appearance.

Facial fillers represent one means to restore lost facial volume and result in a refreshed younger look. However, combination treatment with facial fillers, neuromodulators (like Botox), PDO threads, and energy-based devices (laser, focused ultrasound) clearly outperform any single modality for facial rejuvenation.

It is important to find an expert in non-surgical facial rejuvenation who is able to work with you to outline a treatment plan to reach your aesthetic goals.

I hope that this information helps and best of luck to you!

Regards,
Dr. Pierone
