PDO Threads

pdo-threads

A PDO Thread lift is a type of face lift that is often referred to as the “lunch hour lift”. We make a tiny entry then insert fine PDO threads into the areas we want to lift. As the threads dissolve, your body will naturally produce new bundles of collagen which surround each thread. Using PDO threads along with facial fillers typically produce the best results. The results give you a rejuvenated and refreshed look. No surgery, no pain, non-invasive lunchtime procedure. Natural results with no scaring and recovery times are minimal.

Dr. Pierone received specialized training using PDO Threads by the American Institute of Aesthetic Medicine.

*Most procedures are performed in our Vero Beach, FL offices, however, we do offer services on listed dates at the Winter Park Office.

How Does it Work?

It’s an easy 2 step procedure…

More

PDO-thread
It’s an easy 2 step procedure. No scalpel, no anesthesia (numbing cream recommended), no downtime = happy people!

1 Insert
the pre-loaded needle at subdermal level

2 Remove
the needle: The reabsorbable PDO thread is now in place

Our skin is very good at repairing itself, and by inserting PDO Threads we make it ‘heal’ itself by creating new collagen, naturally! The material of the thread is fully absorbed within 4-6 months and doesn’t create any scar tissue. The foreign body stimulates collagen synthesis and the skin structure created will hold for another 12 to 15 months.

Body Area(s) & Procedure(s)

What areas can be treated with a PDO Thread lift?

More info on Body Area/Treatment
PDO Thread
Although PDO Threads can be inserted almost anywhere, one area where they are especially effective is the neck and jawline. The lower third of the face is challenging to treat effectively with botulinum toxin or injectable fillers, which are most effective in the upper and middle third of the face, respectively.

Treatment areas include face, neck, lips and/or body areas (upper arms, upper thighs or abdomen).

PDO Threads Pricing

PDO Threads range in price from $20 – $300 each. Treatment areas include face, neck, lips or one body area (upper arms, upper thighs or abdomen).

Here's what to expect:
Thread-Lifts
A thread facelift is a convenient, less invasive alternative to traditional facelifts, designed for people experiencing early signs of aging, such as minor facial sagging. This innovative facelift procedure can be performed in just one or two hours, often without anesthesia.

During a thread facelift, the cosmetic surgeon inserts thin threads into the face through tiny incisions made in the targeted area. These threads attach to the skin tissue and are then pulled back to lift and smooth the face.

Treated areas will be raised slightly, eliminating sagging and giving patients a rejuvenated appearance. Because patients usually remain fully conscious during the procedure, they can approve the look of their thread lift while the surgeon works. Once the threads are knotted, they become hidden within the skin itself.

FAQs

Is it safe?
No surgical procedure is without risk, but the level of risk is often down to the expertise and experience of the doctor carrying out your procedure. Thread lifts can cause minor side effects such as infection, bruising, swelling, tenderness, numbness and slight asymmetry.
Will it work for me?
The thread lift can be used to enhance and improve the appearance of a sagging neck, sagging cheeks and jowls and droopy eyebrows. You can personalize your treatment to suit your exact needs and your doctor will also make recommendations for improvements. The procedure can be tailored to suit your exact needs to ensure you are totally happy with the results.
How long does a thread lift take?
A typical thread lift takes as little as one hour to perform, but the length will depend on the number of threads the doctor uses and the areas being treated.
What is the downtime?
Once the procedure is complete you will be provided with aftercare instructions to follow. Most patients experience some mild swelling and bruises, but these are usually quick to settle. Recovery times are usually less than one week although strenuous exercise should be avoided for between 2 and 3 weeks.
How long does it last?
A thread lift’s lasting power depends on the age of the patient at the time of procedure and how much sagging the thread lift has corrected. It should be noted that sagging will return over time, but many doctors report that the results last for anything between 2-3 years*. To extend the results it is possible to have additional threads inserted and your doctor can advise you when this is required.

  • My experience at One Aesthetics has been superb and I highly recommend them. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Amie, Mark, Jaime, Becky , and all the ladies are so gracious and made me feel very comfortable. I had my very first laser facial treatment done by Jaime whom explained the procedure in detail. So, I went back for five more treatments and Jaime did a fabulous job. To save the best for last would be to speak about Dr. Pierone. Dr. Pierone in his patient gentle voice explained to me how he could transform my face and neck into a more natural youthful look. Then, my experience began with the best injector aka Dr. Pierone using Bellafill and from there he began to patiently transform me. Dr. Pierone used PDO threads, Voluma, and other innovative techniques to get the best results for me. Dr. Pierone had the knowledge, expertise, and experienced eye to make my experience a success. When my friends stated "you look rested" ; then, I knew I had the best doctor working on my face and neck. I appreciate immensely all that Dr. Pierone has done for me. Thank you One Aesthetics for this incredible experience.

  • I have had the PDO threads and fillers done with Dr. Pierone. The threads were to help lift my neck which had started to sag. My Goodness, the results were AMAZING!!! The results were immediate but also got better and better as time went by due to my body's own production of collagen due to the procedure. The gift that keeps on giving!!!
The actual procedure was painless and Dr. Pierone explained everything and answered all my questions. You can have laughing gas if you want but I chose not to and still had no discomfort during the procedure.
I can not say enough about how talented Dr. Pierone and his staff are.
I will definitely do this and other procedures with Dr. Pierone and his Staff!!

  • Dr. Pierone and his staff are so kind and welcoming. His compassionate and conservative approach never leaves you feeling "overdone." He is very knowledgeable and patient while discussing your desired results and is very sincere with his approach. He takes the time to listen to what your goals are and is excellent at explaining the options and details of what is needed to achieve them. It is important to him that all of his patients are pleased with their results and is willing to go above and beyond, when necessary, to make that happen. You rarely find that anywhere, folks! I am glad and grateful to have found him. Thank you, Dr. Pierone!
