Juvéderm® VollureTM XC is an FDA-approved hyaluronic-acid (HA) dermal filler that is specifically formulated to treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. This next-generation product from the Juvéderm® family contains advanced Vycross® technology, which allows it to provide longer-lasting volume and tissue support than traditional HA fillers. When injected along the smile lines and nasolabial folds, Juvéderm® VollureTM XC produces smooth, soft, flexible results that can last up to 18 months for most patients.
Before and After
How Does it Work?
Juvéderm® VollureTM XC bonds with moisture below the skin to plump tissue and smooth the appearance of moderate to severe wrinkles.
The long-lasting formula can be especially effective along the nasolabial folds, which can form between the cheeks and the upper lip as the face ages. The strong molecular bonds of Vycross® technology enable Juvéderm® VollureTM to remain cohesive and provide lasting volume for up to 18 months, which is longer than any other dermal filler designed to fill wrinkles and creases. For added comfort during injection, Juvéderm® VollureTM includes lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to numb the tissue.

What to Expect
What to Expect During Treatment…
Here's what to expect:
Dr. Pierone and/or his staff will have an in-depth consultation with you to understand your needs and what facial features you would like to enhance. They will explain all the options to make sure that your VollureTM treatment totally satisfies your expectations.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING TREATMENT
Receiving filler treatment like VollureTM is fairly simple. It shouldn’t be drastically different from a standard doctor visit. Dr. Pierone and/or his staff will prepare the filler and then administer a series of injections in the desired area(s).
WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER TREATMENT
Dr. Pierone and/or his staff will advise you on your aftercare. You may be advised to stop wearing makeup for up to 12 hours. You may also be told to avoid the sun, as well as saunas and steam rooms, for 2 weeks. Some people experience a little temporary tenderness, swelling or bruising around the injection sites. It is also recommended that you avoid additional treatments in the treated area for the next 7 days.
Is it right for me?
Does it hurt?
During the treatment, you can expect to a feeling of pressure, not pain, as the gel is injected. It may feel “heavy” in the injected area. You may also hear sounds as the needle passes through the various facial tissues. Sometimes those sounds are like popping and/or crunching. This is normal. If at any time during the treatment you feel you need a break or feel lightheaded tell Dr. Pierone and/or his staff.
