Juvéderm® Vollure™ XC is an FDA-approved hyaluronic-acid (HA) dermal filler that is specifically formulated to treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. This next-generation product from the Juvéderm® family contains advanced Vycross® technology, which allows it to provide longer-lasting volume and tissue support than traditional HA fillers. When injected along the smile lines and nasolabial folds, Juvéderm® Vollure™ XC produces smooth, soft, flexible results that can last up to 18 months for most patients.

How Does It Work?
Juvéderm® Vollure™ XC bonds with moisture below the skin to plump tissue and smooth the appearance of moderate to severe wrinkles. The long-lasting formula can be especially effective along the nasolabial folds, which can form between the cheeks and the upper lip as the face ages. The strong molecular bonds of Vycross® technology enable Juvéderm® Vollure™ to remain cohesive and provide lasting volume for up to 18 months, which is longer than any other dermal filler designed to fill wrinkles and creases. For added comfort during injection, Juvéderm® Vollure™ includes lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to numb the tissue.
Juvéderm® Vollure™ XC filler smooths moderate to severe lines and wrinkles associated with the normal aging process specifically around the mouth and nose. Injected deep into the facial tissue, it smooths wrinkles and folds by temporarily adding volume in the parentheses or nasolabial folds. The treatment will give you a subtle but remarkable result with lasting effect, up to 18 months. At Facial Rejuvenation FL our approach is a naturally refreshed look (never over-done) so everyone will notice, yet no one will know.
Before and After
What to Expect
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT BEFORE TREATMENT
Dr. Pierone and/or his staff will have an in-depth consultation with you to understand your needs and what facial features you would like to enhance. They will explain all the options to make sure that your Vollure™ treatment totally satisfies your expectations.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING TREATMENT
Receiving filler treatment like Vollure™ is fairly simple. It shouldn’t be drastically different from a standard doctor visit. Dr. Pierone and/or his staff will prepare the filler and then administer a series of injections in the desired area(s).
WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER TREATMENT
Dr. Pierone and/or his staff will advise you on your aftercare. You may be advised to stop wearing makeup for up to 12 hours. You may also be told to avoid the sun, as well as saunas and steam rooms, for 2 weeks. Some people experience a little temporary tenderness, swelling or bruising around the injection sites. It is also recommended that you avoid additional treatments in the treated area for the next 7 days.
$800 per syringe, treatments range from $700-$1,600. Quantity of syringes vary per amount needed per area and specific need.

Is it right for me?
There is no shortage of filler options to choose from. There are even multiple filler options in the Juvederm family. Each is designed differently and can be more effective treating specific issues. The first way to determine if Vollure™ is right for you is to focus on what issue you want to fix. If you are trying to soften lines around your mouth like nasolabial folds, Vollure™ is likely a great option. It’s best to discuss your needs with your provider, and let them determine which filler is the best for you.
Does it hurt?
Although you might experience some discomfort during and after the injection treatment, it is rare due to the combined use of topical cream anesthetic and the anesthetic which is mixed into the filler to reduce injection site pain. Most experience minimal discomfort.
During the treatment, you can expect to a feeling of pressure, not pain, as the gel is injected. It may feel “heavy” in the injected area. You may also hear sounds as the needle passes through the various facial tissues. Sometimes those sounds are like popping and/or crunching. This is normal. If at any time during the treatment you feel you need a break or feel lightheaded tell Dr. Pierone and/or his staff.
What is the recovering time?
You could experience some minor swelling, bruising, or redness, but for the majority of patients, there is no downtime after Vollure™ treatment. Once you leave the office you can continue with your normal day.
How long does it last?
When used for folds or lines, Vollure™ is designed to give you a softened and smooth look. The results should be natural, but noticeable, and last up to 18 months. Vollure™ can also be used to add volume, especially in the lips. Vollure™ isn’t going to provide drastic, permanent results, but it can give you a refreshed look.
Can Vollure™ be dissolved?
Like the other products in the Juvederm collection, Vollure™ is a hyaluronic acid filler and can be safely dissolved with an injection of hyaluronidase. How many injections are required to fully dissolve the Vollure™ will depend on the treatment you originally received.
